Jay Steele
Instructor and Pool Manager
Jay swam for a travel swim team as a child and then became a lifeguard and swim instructor in high school. They has six years experience teaching swim lessons and eight years working as a lifeguard. Jay joined the BDA team in the spring of 2019 as a swim instructor. While we are currently not offering pool management services for the summer of 2021, they has also been one of our summer pool managers.
When Jay is not working with BDA they are teaching high school chemistry. They loves all things science and nature!
Jay loves teaching in all capacities, whether it is in the classroom or in the water. They feels swimming is such an important and fun skill for all kids to have. It brings Jay so much joy to help kids reach their swimming goal.
